busy summer

So after a long lapse in any sort of blogging (read: april, may and june i worked so much i could do little else), i have a number of lovely things to post about here, many of which happened in the last few weeks.

#1 a completely spontaneous trip to Chicago with Teresa (see picture) my roommate, where we enjoyed 24 hrs of food, shopping, rest and a delightful sit at the outdoor tables of a coffee shop in Dena Wangberg's neighborhood (north part of the city) where we stayed. delightful!









#2 trip to Bethany beach Delaware - grandparents, aunt pat, uncle doug, cousins, and dad and judy. a great time, lots of sleep, sun, wonderful food... a proper vacation!






















#3 home improvements! with some help from Molly Piper (thanks!! so much - what a blessing), my bathroom project is nearly complete - we painted this past weekend and all but the tippy-top edge remains. i love it!
I also have done some landscaping, gardening, and much-needed deep cleaning, leaving Teresa in amazement of how much one can really get done when working "normal person hours," as i have this month and last. something to look forward post-residency!
